The challenge
What needed solving
Single-page React sites often show search engines an empty page until JavaScript runs, load slowly on phones, and give AI assistants nothing clear to quote.
We needed a site that ranks for competitive searches, loads fast on budget Android phones over 4G, and gets cited correctly by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews.
The solution
What we built
Prerendered pages
Every route is rendered to static HTML at build time and hydrated in the browser, so crawlers and link previews see the full content immediately.
Paint-first loading
Fonts are self-hosted with metric-matched fallbacks (no layout shift), and the app bundle loads only after the first paint.
Structured data everywhere
Organization, Service, SoftwareApplication, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, VideoObject and BlogPosting markup generated from the same data as the page.
AI-search readiness
An llms.txt summary, quotable answer boxes on key pages, crawler access for AI bots, and an AI catalog file.
Technical hygiene
Real 404 status for unknown URLs, canonical tags, an auto-generated sitemap including video entries, and an RSS feed.
The outcome
What changed
- Mobile Lighthouse performance raised from 64 to about 77 on production (90 in lab tests).
- AI-visibility audit score of 80/100 with the open-source geo-optimizer tool.
- The same approach is available to clients as part of website development.
